Profil

Harvey Yarosky has practiced criminal law in Montreal since 1962. Former partner of the Hon. Fred Kauffman (ret.) of the Quebec Court of Appeal, the Hon. Morris Fish, of the Supreme Court of Canada, the Hon. Jerry Zigman of the Quebec Superior Court and Francois Daviault, formerly of the Quebec Superior Court, Harvey joined Boro Polnicky Lighter as counsel to the firm in 2012.

Me Yarosky has taught criminal law at McGill University, where he was an adjunct professor of criminal law as well as at the University of Ottawa.

Me Yarosky was a member of the Government of Quebec’s Advisory Council on Justice and the executive assistant to the Federal Department of Justice Committee (Cohen Committee) that led to the enactment of the hate propaganda sections of the Criminal Code.

He has also acted as Independent Counsel to various inquiries conducted by the Canadian Judicial Council and has appeared as counsel before numerous federal and provincial Commissions of Inquiry.

Throughout his career Me Yarosky has also been a member and chairman of numerous committees of the Bar of Montreal, the Barreau du Quebec and the Canadian Bar Association relating to the administration of justice.
